Der Hörweg Dieburg, kann entlang eines beliebten Wanderwegs begangen und gehört werden werden, dem Herrnweg, der mitten durch den Dieburger Forst führt. Mittels QR-Code und Smartphone macht er als SoundscapeKompositionen Laute der natürlichen Umwelt zugänglich, die ohne spezielle und innovative medientechnische Unterstützung nicht oder nur unter großen Schwierigkeiten hörbar wären: etwa das Knistern im Innern einer Alteiche, den “Jazz der Ameisen” oder das “Klangreich der Fledermaus”.
Inhaltlich und konzeptuell folgt der Hörweg den Prinzipien der Akustischen Ökologie. Auf dieser Grundlage entstanden Hörstationen im Wald, die für den akustischen Wert von Umwelt und Natur sensibilisieren und ihre Besucher*innen mit bislang „Unerhörtem“ in Kontakt bringen wollen. Als aktiv Hörende tragen diese dazu bei, Wald und Umwelt zu schützen.
Seit September 2019 ist der Hörweg für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich. Nun wird der Hörweg zu einem Rundweg auf elf Hörstationen erweitert.

Hiking Path & Augmented-Reality-Audioinstallation
The Hörweg Dieburg (Listening Path Dieburg) can be walked and listened to along a popular hiking trail, the “Herrnweg”, which leads through the Dieburg Forest. By means of QR code and smartphone, it makes environmental sounds accessible as soundscape compositions. It offers sounds, which cannot be listened to without special and innovative media technological support: e.g. the crackling of the inside of an old oaktree, the “ants’ jazz”, or the “bat’s sound realm”.
Contentwise and conceptually, the Hörweg follows the principles of Acoustic Ecology: Listening stations were created within the forest, which aim to sensitize for the auditory value of our environments, bringing visitors in touch with sounds yet unheard. As active listeners, they contribute to the protection of the natural environment.
Since September 2019 the Hörweg has been open to the public. Now the listening path is being expanded into a circular route containing even listening stations.
The listening path reopens for the public on 20th June 2021, 14.00h, and is walkable and auditorily accessible permanently.
